Seeking the Salvation of the Lost
Through a series of events earlier this year, the Lord instituted a church-wide fast where we set ourselves aside in a season of fasting to intercede for the salvation of family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and people-at-large, Ezek 22:30/2 Pet. 3:9. The fast began Sunday morning, June 1, 2008, 12AM and ended Sunday morning, June 8, 2008, 12AM.
During the fast, the Lord indicated that He wanted the fast to continue. Therefore, we are extending an invitation to the Body of Christ to join us as we continue to intercede for lost people all over the world. The continuation of the fast will commence on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. The time frame of the fast will be Tuesday through Thursday of each week, lasting indefinitely throughout the year. We will follow one of the options listed below or if the Lord lays another format on your heart that will contribute to an intense sacrifice made to intercede for the salvation of people everywhere.
Please choose from one from one of the following options as far undertaking the fast:
1. Filtered/natural waters and natural juices (should be attempted only by those used to frequent
fasting.)
2. Foregoing one meal a day.
3. Foregoing two meals a day.
Additionally, we would like to confine video/visual & audio entertainment activities to Christian programming for that week. For those who will be consuming meals, try to follow a diet of wholesome foods as much as possible.Those under physician's care, please govern yourself accordingly. We will be meditating on the following Scriptures: Ezek. 22:30; Isa. 45:22; John 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 3:9.
"Don't overlook the obvious here, friends. With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day. God isn't late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn't want anyone lost. He's giving everyone space and time to change." - 2 Pet. 3:8-9 {TMSG}

The Release of "To Be A Minstrel"
"To Be A Minstrel" A Biblically-Based Perspective of the Church Musician, Vol.I" is an exploration, based on the Scriptures, of what God has to say, what He intended and what He expects for church music ministry. It boldly tackles the frustration often associated with attempting to implement a successful music ministry that is relevant and rewarding. It also redefines the idyllic perception of what a congregant sees during Sunday moring services, which does not always reflect what happens behind the scenes. It is the author's intent to usher the average church into the joy of a succesful churchmusic ministry by fearlessly fronting a controversial, almost taboo, issue that is far-too-often avoided. Whether you are a pastor, a church musician or a worshiper who regularly attends church, there are incredible insights awaiting you within these pages! This is Pastor Darren's debut as an author.
